Diving club leadership

Mike Chelich

Mike Chelich is the diving club coach and the diving coach for the Munster High School Swimming and Diving team. He was trained as a diver by his father, Chuck Chelich, who was known as the premier diving coach in Indiana and Illinois for 50 years. In Indiana alone, Chuck trained 7 Indiana State Champions and 20 runner-ups. Mike continues in the tradition set by his father as a coach for the Munster High School diving team. Though Mike did not pursue diving after high school, he placed 2nd in his sophomore and senior years, fourth as a freshman, and was honored as an All-American diver in the early 80s.
Sessions

Come dive with us! We're offering diving sessions for both Munster residents and non-residents.

This is a great option for new divers looking to explore the sport of diving.

Practices are typically held Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 6:00 – 8:30 PM. Days subject to change based on holidays and/or Swim & Dive meet schedule.

$ 160 per session

  • Cost is for a 4 week session.
  • Mondays on 6/5, 6/12, 6/19, and 6/26.
  • Session time is 1pm to 3pm.
  • Ages: 8 years old through high school.
